Management Team Sports Turf Surface | Installation & Management
Jonathan Gallagher
My story in business is very simple, I started life as a professional tennis coach for 8 years and then went into the business of installing and maintaining tennis courts, learning the business from the bottom up.
From there the business evolved, in the UK we are the market leader in the supply and installation of artificial grass for landscaping projects (www.easigrass.com). This is now complimented with our other brand Rhino-Turf (www.rhino-turf.com) which specialises in the supply and install of artificial grass for sports fields and Sports Turf Surface Management.
I am also the founder of three other companies where I still hold interests: www.sportsmaintenance.com, www.sssuk.co.uk and www.xtraction.com.
Today my focus, alongside William, is developing new international markets where there is a real appetite for our experience, knowledge and expertise. We enjoy the challenges and especially working closely with people who want to build a successful company in the world of artificial grass.
Internationally our focus has been South Africa, Singapore & the Middle East where we have established good local partners and the results speak for themselves.
William Allan
I was brought up in South Africa but left for Europe in 1987 to further my rugby career in Italy and then the UK. I still have a huge passion for all sports and regularly go to watch International Rugby matches.
I joined Jonathan at Rhino-Turf back in 2012 after a stint as a consultant for another synthetic turf company. My focus since 2012 has been on promoting Rhino-Turf globally with particular attention on South Africa.
Since 2012 my partnership with Jonny has been extremely rewarding; from installing Africa’s first synthetic rugby field, to multi-purpose sports fields in Singapore, Muscat and Johannesburg as well as helping FIFA with their Goal Projects in Africa.
The challenges are vast but at the same time greatly satisfying, seeing how these fields can be used extensively and showing the power sport has in changing lives around the world.
Let the charge continue for many more years.
